Hot Luck Fest returns to Austin for 2025 from May 22-25th, and Carabuena will be onsite for Saturday’s main event: Al Fuego.
Once a year, the greatest maestros of flame and forge congregate on a Texas ranch to demonstrate mastery of open fire cookery in a celebration known as Al Fuego. Hot Luck’s main event is an open-air celebration of the world’s oldest culinary art—live-fire cooking, with styles from culinary cultures of all kinds.
There isn’t another food event like this—the dishes are obsessively prepared, passionately executed, and a glimpse into what a cookout might be like if your favorite chef invited you over to their next backyard gathering. Boots optional, bibs recommended.
Al Fuego is from 6–9 pm and is included in the Whole Enchilada Ticket Package, which gets you access to the full weekend of events; Whole Enchilada pass holders can enter as early as 5:30 pm. Individual Al Fuego tickets are also available for $250.
