Recipe: Mora Sour

PREP IT

  • 2 oz. Carabuena Tequila

  • 1 oz. lemon juice

  • .75 oz. blackberry syrup

  • .25 oz. agave 1:1

  • 1 oz. egg white or aquafaba

  • Garnish: blackberries

MAKE IT: BLACKBERRY SYRUP

  • 128 grams (~1 cup) blackberries

  • 128 grams (~1/2 cup) sugar

  • 128 grams (~1/2 cup) water

Heat water in a small saucepan on the stovetop. Add sugar and stir until dissolved. Add blackberries and boil until color is gone from fruit, roughly 10-12 minutes. Syrup should be a nice, rich color. Let sit and cool 10 minutes before straining fruit bits from syrup.

MAKE IT: AGAVE 1:1

  • 128 grams agave

  • 128 grams (~1/2 cup) water

Boil or blend until agave is dissolved.

MAKE IT: MORA SOUR

Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with one cube of ice for 20 seconds. Open the shaker, fill with ice, close, and shake again. Fine strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with blackberries.
