Recipe: Verde De La Envidia
PREP IT
2 oz. Carabuena Tequila
.75 oz. cucumber juice (from one cucumber, run through a juicer)
.5 oz. yellow chartreuse
.5 oz. hoja santa syrup
.5 oz. lime juice
Garnish: cucumber slices
MAKE IT: HOJA SANTA SYRUP
128 grams hoja santa leaves
128 grams (~1/2 cup) sugar
128 grams (~1/2 cup) water
Heat water in a small saucepan on the stovetop. Add sugar and stir until dissolved. Add hoja santa and boil until it simply gains color from the leaves, roughly 10-12 minutes. Syrup should be a nice, rich color. Let sit and cool 20 minutes before straining leaf bits from syrup.
MAKE IT: VERDE DE LA ENVIDIA
Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Fine strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with cucumber slices.
